I don't really think you have to go to strip clubs and get sloshed to be "happy people". I just don't think you have to be drunk and half naked to have a really good time. Frankly, I adore evening gowns and champagne as much as I like vodka shots and nude dancers. I've been to Piano bars and had evening in gardens with a violin player filling the air that were WAY sexier then any strip club I've been too. Sexuality isn't always about promiscuity.

I work in the arts, and if there's one things people of artistic backgrounds know how to have, it's a party - ones that would get you thrown out of even strip club. The wildest parties are at a private residence where there are no rules. Don't get me wrong, there are a few clubs where the waiters know me on sight, and the dancers know I'll take them to the VIP room. In fact, that's part of the problem. I can't afford to be recognized - not by the staff at the club who know my real name, and not by people in the arts that might be there. Last thing I need is someone who knows me from my professional life wanting to join me for drinks because I'm there.

However, I think there's pleasure in elegance and grace, and I don't think it's impossible to have a blast at a tasteful venue. And certainly when meeting gentlemen I might want to get to know intimately for the first time, I'd like to be able to hear them talk and see a different side to their character then one that can be found in a strip club.

I must respectfully decline. I prefer to go to strip clubs on a one on one basis with my gentlemen friends.

Saying that, strip clubs are easiest to do - they have lots of empty space, attractive servers and entertainment is free.
They won't care what the ladies do for a living.

I would imagine the ladies coming to meet the men would be the entertainment for the evening - that is what we do. If they can't keep you engaged over dinner, you know not to book a dinner date!!

I had suggested such a thing in the past for other industry parties, and got nixxed. Seems the trend is to do this at strip clubs, even though a place like Laide would be a great venue and more conducive to conversation.
