Smart lady.

We are preparing your child for a prosperous future,” she added. “We want them to know what is appropriate and what is not appropriate for any setting they may be in.”

One minor point she is missing though, the pupils parents,... aren't students.

I do agree that students I see walking around today, don't seem to have a clue what one should look like when looking for, and what kind of employment they expect to find, with a ring in their nose, and half shaved purple hair.

But isn't that the parents duty, not the schools ?

I'm okay with requiring that clothes aren't revealing....like sagging pants or tops that are see-through or whatever. I can understand why she wants parents to set a good example for the kids. But at the same time, you don't know the parents' situations. And you're dealing with adults. Maybe they're wearing something odd because they work a night job and sleep while their kids are at school so the can be up with them during the evening.

By all means, encourage the parents to set good examples, but I don't think this is one you can force beyond the requirements of decency.
