so maurice..does chinese medicine work? For example does nan bao work as effectively as Viagara......
Ran this by a Chinese friend of mine once and he just laughed. He said do you realize how many people from Hong kong come to America to seek out western medicine. On the other hand I was talking to Dr. Gaudin (who owns a world renown naturalpathic clinic in T.O.) and he said that being relatively new to the market the long term effects of Viagara just are not known.

Boo hiss. How soon after I get up do I have to eat for it to be considered breakfast?
and can I get away with a protein shake, or does it have to be real food? :arf:

A protein shake is not real food and besides whey protein goes through you in under an hour. Not to mention the high levels of mercury that have been found in the more popular brands. And please do not eat cereal. It is nutritionally useless.

first thing you should do when you get up is drink 10-12 oz of water to replace what you lost during the night.

Wait 30 min or so then eat.

there you go sillygirl...CG just answered it for you....

So does Dr. Gaudin disapprove of nan bao....or does he offera better and healtheir alternative

He told me that he has tried every prescription as well as herbal remedy available on the market.

He recommended taking 10 grams of Arginine 1 hour before sexual activity. Here is some more info:https://altmedicine.about.com/cs/conditionsetoh/a/erectiledysfunc.htm

I know people who have had success with Yohimbe as well.

Yohime..i think you meant yocoumbine...sorry I think thats the wrong spelling....Based on my friend's advice, apparently that doen't work well...dont shoot the messenger...:)

Maybe it s more of a psychological issue for him....I encouraged him to try hugging...he had a similar response as yours :arf::arf:

My apologies Maurice...you were correct..here's the information:

Yohimbe (Not Recommended)

The bark of the west African yohimbe tree is a source of yohimbine, a compound that has been found to stimulate blood flow to the penis, increase libido, and decrease the period between ejaculations.

Yohimbe is not recommended, however, because it is potentially dangerous, even in small doses. Side effects may include dizziness, anxiety, nausea, a severe drop in blood pressure, abdominal pain, fatigue, hallucinations, and paralysis.

I remember giving it a go in the mid 90's and yeah I did feel really light headed and anxious. More info:

Yohimbe is a tree that grows throughout the African nations of Cameroon, Gabon and Zaire. (A similar plant in South America is called Quebracho). For centuries, natives from these areas have ingested both the crude bark and purified compound as a tonic to enhance sexual prowess and as an aphrodisiac. The bark has been smoked as a hallucinogen and has been used in traditional medicine to treat angina and hypertension. The herb is a sensual stimulant for healthy men and women. Today, doctors prescribe an extract from the tree to treat organic impotence.

You mean these Fruit Loops aren't good for me???

j/k...I ate a banana. It makes me nauseous to eat this early but I guess I'll get used to it.

Would protein shakes count as real food if they don't have whey protein? Label says Soy and Dairy. I've been counting them as meals.

One week in, and I'm up 1.4 lbs. sigh...off to the gym. :frown:

Here's my suggestion: Have 2 or 3 eggs with a slice or 2 of bacon and a piece of fruit. And no the saturated fat in the yolks and bacon will not be stored as fat in your body. This is a myth perpetrated by the food and drink industry to sell their carbohydrate and sugar laden products.

Protein shakes are for body builders who are trying to supplement their meals with extra protein and calories. Not for people trying to lose body fat.

Although I realize that a whole industry was built around the meal replacement concept some time ago and made very popular by Dr.Scott connelly's MET-rx.

These are not real food bio chemically and they are nutrient deficient.

I concur but skippped the bacon unless its turkey (but the taste isnt that great). Cook red peppers, onions, tomatoes(seeds out)...then add egg and enjoy. Dont forget to drink plenty of water (drink warm water so you can gulp the whole glass quickly)

CANNOT SKIP breakfast......

But the label makes them seem so healthy!

I eat bacon and eggs almost every day, but it seems like too much food for first thing in the morning...I couldn't even finish the banana this morning. Is 2 eggs/day enough protein? That was why I started with the shakes in the first place.

And no, I'm not switching to turkey bacon. blech, I'd rather switch to lo-fat salad dressing.

What does "watts" mean on the elliptical?

Note to self: Get to the gym earlier, EyeCandy was almost done his workout when I got there this morning. I would've run for miles to watch the whole thing.

Thanks for all the input, I appreciate it.

Sex Calories – Results of Dr. Wieder’s Calories Burned by Sex Study
image-1412699-10718828

Following are the results of Dr. Robert S. Wieder’s exhaustive study of the average calories burned during sex activities of various kinds, as published in the American Journal of Exercise Calorimetry in August 2006. Dr. Weider’s research supercedes the energy expenditure figures in the Compendium of Physical Activities, last updated in 1993. As authoritative as the Compendium is, the detail of its data for sex calories per hour is lacking: only three values are given for different levels of exertion for general sexual activities. By comparison, the Compendium lists 12 detailed values for calories burned by forestry activities, including “barking trees.” Dr. Weider’s research has remedied these shortcomings.
To determine the following data, Dr. Wieder and his graduate students recruited healthy young volunteers, seven men and five women, and put them through a 2-week habituation period so that they could become familiar with the RPE (rating of perceived exertion) scale, learn the standardized sexual positions and activities specified in the research protocol, and become accustomed to the wearable accelerometers, inclinometers and data logging transmitters used for the study.
During the actual data collection phase, the outcomes were measured in kilojoules at each specified RPE value for each activity.

Why would you limit yourself to 2 eggs/day? Obviously you can eat more protein throughout the rest of your day.

Chicken, red meat, fish, whole milk, cheese are all good choices.

High fat salad dressing is actually okay. It's the high carb high sugar ones that will cause problems. Personally I love extra virgin olive oil.

Good point...I guess between eggs, cheese and turkey I've got protein covered. I'm a little emotionally attached to the protein shakes because they are the last chocolate thing I have, but they are pretty high in calories.

So in the interest of buffness I'll have to stop buying them...I'm a little sad. :frown:

I won't be sad to lose the fat suit, though.

For the answers to these questions stay tuned for I'm sure they will be answered pronto.

Child bearing, age, lack of physical activity... Eating processed foods etc...

Same problems as 95% of the population out there.

We only became health conscious about 5 years ago. :???:

I am every bit of what I have said (IDK about "boy wonder" mind you...) and I have never backed down from a challenge.
