Mid Continent Nail Factory, one of the country's largest manufacturers of nails, has seen a 50% drop in orders since June 1st. This is because of the tariffs against Mexico Trump announced, and the Mid Continent Nail Factory gets it's material from (you guessed it) Mexico.
Since 2012 the company had doubled it's workforce. Over 60 employees were laid off, and the other 500 jobs are at risk. The economy is booming - thanks Obama - but this company is going to go out of business.
But it doesn't stop there. It steamrolls. SEMO Boxing - which provides the boxes to Mid Continent Nail Factory - has seen a huge drop in orders for boxes, and now they have laid off people. You can bet local transportation companies have seen a hit too, as well as local restaurants - you can't eat out if you are laid off.
The best part is.... They still support trump.

General Motors is warning the Trump administration that a proposed tariff could force the company to cut jobs and raise the price of cars, perhaps by thousands of dollars.
The warning came in a filing Friday with the Commerce Department.
The administration is considering a tariff on imported cars and car parts. GM (GM) imports parts for cars that it makes in the United States. It also imports some cars to sell in the United States.
"Increased import tariffs could lead to a smaller GM, a reduced presence at home and abroad for this iconic American company, and risk less — not more — U.S. jobs," GM said in the filing.

Everybody knows there are "trade tariffs on our goods coming into Canada", but not to the extent your Pres. states in the media, that he wants to put on aluminum and steel coming from Canada.
And his "negotiating" style, with his biggest trading partners, doesn't exactly create an atmosphere conducive negotiating anything.
I know that's his style, which is fine, but as I have already stated, I don't think it works well when dealing with countries, and most assuredly, it doesn't work well when "negotiating" with countries in the media.
