Well it has been like that for a really long time, and will continue being like that.

Look at Ford for example the only company that didn't get bailout money during the recession are taking their factories (or are planning) to Mexico. For them there are no unions, they don't have to pay for insurance and other crap. That's how they think and it will make them more money.

Here they pay $25 and our for an american worker - In Mexico they pay $25 a day if that.

So these companies are only after the big profit.

A very good quote:

Yes, Chinese workers are being exploited the most right now because the Global economy is focused on China and lower labor costs are necessary to keep the price of goods cheaper for Export to other Countries like Canada and the USA.

But here is the dilemma. In both Canada & the USA the value of labor is very much depreciated and as a result salary expectations are low for workers up to middle management level. But why does upper management think that their labor is much more valuable like 30 to 40 times more valuable and as a result upper management still get paid the exhorbitant pay and ridiculous bonuses even they they crash a company eg. Nortel, the telecommunications company gone bankrupt.

It's sad to see this sort of thing but the truth is that Microsoft will still continue to use them as they are cheap. Money is all that big corporations care about...:(

Chinese workers make $1.75 a day

There is no minimum wage in China and when abuses are discovered, the whole factory disappears. "The supervisors will get nervous and move the work to another province. It's impossible to monitor factory conditions," says Asia Monitor Resource Center in Hong Kong.
