No he shouldn't have been fired but it was in poor taste, imo. Prince was beloved and anyone in his friend/fan base would find it to soon, and making a joke of his talent/music/lyrics in bad taste, especially now . Everyone is still wondering how he died and mourning, so..... He could have and should have been more creative and referenced someone else.
