Oh to be a woman - car repairs

Sometimes I think it would have been easier to be born a woman.

I drive a Honda.

Recently, the interior dash has started to vibrate when I am at a stop light or when I put it in reverse and am backing up. I diagnosed the problem as a worn engine motor mount.

I haven't decided whether I will go to the wreckers to take one off of another Honda or whether I will order the part online and replace it that way. I have also thought about asking a mechanic to do it if I can't find the part at the wreckers or if the price I have to pay online is too expensive.

I told my wife I finally realized what the problem was and told her it would be anywhere from $20 - $250, depending on how I go about getting it fixed.

Her reaction:

'Why do we need to spend this money. It's your fault. Fix this problem. I don't want to hear about it.'

I am jealous of how she can behave. I have to fix the problem, she gets to complain and blame me. Gender roles are awesome, aren't they?

If you hold off from seeing 4 escorts at $60 each that comes to $240. All fixed.

LOL.

That comment made me laugh!!!

I have spent over $500 in the past 2 weeks on escorts.

What pisses me off is my wife's attitude. She blamed me for the engine mount failing. As if I did something to make it wear out. My wife wanted a Honda, so I bought a Honda. Honda engine mounts (from what I know now) are prone to failure before 100k. So, that is to be expected.

I had a Toyota before that leaked oil at 190k. It had a bad strut at 40k. These things happen. It's a piece of machinery after all.

At the end of the day, my wife is simply a spoiled little asshole.

Oh well, my bad for agreeing to marry her. I should have just left her when she demanded we get married. Moral of the story - NEVER, EVER GET MARRIED unless you want a life of misery. Technically, we are no longer married, but we still are married, kind of.

Reason #1,872 why I hobby.

Funny thing is that I was out to dinner with a few escorts one night and when the topic turned to boyfriends, all three of the escorts told me they would be extra difficult (bitchy) with their boyfriends as much as they could. They actually admitted that they would purposely give their boyfriends a hard time if faced with the opportunity. Couldn't believe my ears. These escorts know that men visit escorts because their wives are often unbearable, but they vowed they would be the same. Unfuckingbelievable.

It's funny Mister Asian that you feel your wife's comments and attitude as reflective of all women, interesting how you deem women in general, perhaps that is at the root of your wifes issue, not the car problem, something to think about:) Sadly if I were to be like you and judge all men as being like you I'd become a lesbian:SayWhat?::)

Funny how MAL has said in previous posts about he respects women but consistently trashes one instead of sucking it up and getting a divorce. Im sure you could find a divorce lawyer for 60/hr the same way you've found SPs at the same price range.

In a divorce they somehow end up with better lawyers than men you.

You can't generalize about that either.

I got screwed over in all 3 of my divorces. The first time, I went easy on my ex because his life was a mess, so I didn't ask for alimony and only asked for a fraction of the child support he should have paid.

My second divorce was a situation where I couldn't request alimony, and he ended up with everything and I ended up with nothing.

My third divorce, I got royally screwed over and ended up having to pay off his debts, after I supported him while he went back to school to learn a trade he could make a ton of money at.

I've lost everything, several times over besides that, mostly due to men taking advantage of my kindness.

Oh, I know exactly what you mean! You've just finished cleverly diagnosing a problem, you've even come up with alternative costing strategies, and you're so pleased with yourself. You go to the wife to share your insight, show her your awesome brainpower, even give her a chance to weigh in with her opinion to share in your brain tidal waves, and all you get are crickets. Going to talk to the wife is going to where communications dies. :biggrin2:

You could've probably gone to your buddies and told them about it instead, and they would've been impressed, but no, not the wife! I've had similar situations, like for example, something goes wrong with the computer or the TV, and she asks me to fix it. And then I do, and then she asks me how I fixed it. I start into the explanation, and two seconds later and she's like: "Oh too boring, never mind, I don't wanna know!" In two seconds, about the only thing I can get out of my mouth is, "Well, you see ...", and then she gets too bored! Nowadays, I just tell her, "you won't understand", and she is actually glad that I didn't go into the explanation.
