Men would you buy it for your partner?.

Christian Louboutin is proving that nude isn't just a shade of beige.

The French designer has expanded his Nude Collection of women's shoes from five to seven skin tones, adding "porcelain" and "deep chocolate." The company's Instagram posts promise "a spectrum of seven (hues) suited to any skin tone ... (to) ensure every woman can meet her match."

Unveiled this week, the leather shoes come at a hefty price of $595- $875. But women on Twitter, weary of the narrow range of some designers' "flesh-tone" shoes, are applauding Louboutin for keeping diverse skin tones in mind.

I have and have paid as much for underware, but not anymore, walking dogs, visiting nursing homes, isn't conducive to needing designer anything and most of my dates via escorting don't look at my shoes:blush2::wink:

I was never on board with the whole buying-things-with-obnoxious-price-tags. I never saw the point of buying a pair of shoes with red bottoms and a hefty price tag, that were going to get scuffed up after 5 steps anyways. I never saw the point of spending thousands on a handbag just to hold all the crap I might want to carry around. I much prefer to just not carry all the crap.

Granted, they're all very nice things, and I admire them when I see them, but personally, I just never got into it. :wink2:

I like how you think:) I think these designers play into those with some insecurity issues. Ie: wearing or owning expensive things makes you more acceptable, means you've "made it" , makes you "fit in, etc. I know when I was spending big cash on designer clothes, shoes, bag, glasses, cars, etc, that's why I was doing it. Sure many of those things are better made and are luxurious, but many are also way over priced. But, depending on the crowd you surround yourself with, sometimes having that stuff is important. Thankfully I got over that crowd, that need and those insecurities, and about time!!
Now I admire people, like one of my sisters, who is very successful, and others who buck trends and the need to wear labels. There are better ways to use money, like donating to charities or helping someone else out, that feels better than anything luxurious, that too I've learned:)

I'm willing to pay for a quality item if I'll be able to get good use out of it. But care less about fashion and clothing labels. Does it fit? Will it last? Does it make me look stupid? That's about all that I consider when it comes to clothes.

Then again, I'm way above average in size. It's not like I have a great deal of clothes to choose from in the first place.
