From an evolutionary standpoint, why risk attracting all that attention, and why is a woman having an orgasm so difficult for heterosexual men to ignore?
Well in the book "Sex at Dawn" which debunks many of our myths about gender, sex and human nature... these questions and many more are addressed. As it turns out, female copulatory vocalizations are highly associated wih promiscuous mating, but not with monogamy. She is screaming so loud so that OTHER males will hear her, and come hither... and fuck her. Thereby promoting sperm competition, which apparently is beneficial for social and reproductive health. We are not the only primates that do this, British primatologist Stuart Semple found that, "In a wide variety of species, females vocalize just before, during or immediately after they mate. These vocalizations are particularly common among the primates and evidence is now accumulating that by calling, a female incites males in her group..."
Hmmm..... who says women are by nature sexually exclusive? It would appear not.... Furthermore, it turns out female multiple orgasm which serves no reproductive purpose, is theorized to be motivation and reward to copulate with multiple men for the purpose of promoting sperm competition as well. Monogamy be damned.
And if that isn't a paradigm shift then this is: sperm and it's hormonal cocktail of testosterone, estrogen, and prostaglandins have an anti-depressant effect on women, and in fact offer a mood boost - a veritable sperm cocaine cocktail that in some cases leads to "chemical dependency". Women who don't use condoms are less likely to suffer depression than women who do or who are not sexually active. A Creampie it turns out is a also a hot injection of a mood boosting chemical high.
